Step 1-2 : layout the rough outline and determine the composition
Step 3 : create a new layer underneath the line and paint it grey

Step 4 : roughly carft out the shadow and highlight
Step 5 : merge the grey tone and outline layer and continue adding details

Step 6 : create a new layer on top, set layer options to’overlay’. Now I setup my colour palette and start coloring on the ‘overlay’ layer. I always started of with the skin tones

Step 7 : continue filling up color for other parts

Step 8 : after I satisfied with the draft color scheme, merge the 2 layers
Step 9 : now i start to paintover it, and adding details
Step 10a : I started off my cloud background with a greenish gradient in a new layer underneath my character

Step 10b-c : I then paint the highlight and shadow on top
Step 10d : adjust the brightness and contrast

Step 11 : now I bring back my character and start fixing her edge on my bg
Step 12 : finally, add in some glow effects
