Sudden Bonus – My Second Game App

It has been a while since my last post, as i had been busy with the publishing of my second game “Sudden Bonus”. The game is finally up now on AppStore and GooglePlay.

Sudden Bonus Debut

Sudden Bonus Characters

“Sudden Bonus” is a face-paced game build on the concept of classic fighting game’s bonus stage, like the car smashing bonus stage in Street Fighter. I remember i was having a lot fun hadoken-ing the car without it fighting back…. yea… well. I adopt the concept and put it into a household context. Where a family was challenged by this suddenly appear show host to smash the furniture for score. It’s a fast paced game featuring retro pixel art style visuals.

It has been tough working on a game project alone. Numerous sleepless night for me, slogging and cracking the code and game play mechanism. Despite that, the production process is quite fun tho.

I hope you could take sometime to try it out and let me know what you think about the game.

or if you have time, drop by the FB page and give it a like:

  1. Hm i’d like to report some minor issue with the game but have absolutely no idea where to go with it.

I have some input issues with my android device so called input lag which break most of my combos. 2 of 3 times i have to double press an attack button to be recognized be the game.
I cannot figure out if the buttons are supposed to be hit in a specific rhythm or if it’s just the game/my device that is not working correctly.

  2. Hi,thank you for reporting that, I am sorry to know that.
We havent experience the scenario like your case while testing on Android devices.
Can you provide me with details like your device model, region, and android version?
I will have a further look into this.
Meanwhile, perhaps you can try running the game from other Android device and see if the problem exists.
    Thank you.

  3. Hi lek,
i totally forgot to honor you and your team for the game. I really really to love this game. It is super simple, fun and visual appealing to me 😉 (yeah who doesn’t like pixels and stuff).

The game/app is running on a Huawei P7-L10 device with Android 4.4.2 (Firmware B609 Europe/Germany).

As i said it is a minor issue to me. The game is absolutely playable. and runs fluently Maybe it is just how the game is intended to work. Sadly i cannot check it on another Android device as of now.

Hopefully this won’t bother you much and i don’t want to spam your blog with this comments.

  4. Dear MH, thank you for your comment and feedback. I am really glad that you liked the game. It’s a big encouragement for me 😀
The buttons are not supposed to be input in specific rhythm. I will try my best to test it on Huawei device, and rectify it.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.
